FOX doesn’t do quiet. Even when it’s just for one night.

We’ve worked with them for years across brand campaigns, promo packages, and special programming events. But their growing slate of one-off programming needed a different kind of system. Think high-stakes documentaries, cultural deep dives, headline-driven events. No series. No repeat episodes. Just one shot to get it right.

They needed a design system and toolkit built off the FOX master brand, but loose enough to flex across genres. Strong visual identity, clearly FOX, but still able to shift tone and weight depending on the story. And it had to be self-sufficient. Plug in, roll out, move on to the next.

THE “INTERSECTION GRID”

We started with the “deconstructed” FOX brand shapes which are already part of their identity and reworked them into modular grid layouts.

Where the pieces met, we found our framework. Intersections that could carry weight—used to frame content, punch in with color, or act as transitions. Sometimes they’re hard panels. Sometimes soft overlays. Sometimes just negative space used right.

We designed the system to respond to the source material. When the footage is thin, the brand is dialed up. When the content’s strong, the design pulls back.

One system. Dozens of voices. All unmistakably FOX.
