mortal kombat 2 x hbo

FLAWLESS VICTORY.

HBO’s iconic Movie Presentation opener was looking for a fight.
‍
For Mortal Kombat II, we dropped it straight into the arena and let three of the franchise’s most iconic fighters take their shot. Raiden brings the lightning. Sub-Zero freezes it solid. Scorpion sets the whole thing on fire.
‍
It’s the latest in a growing line of custom HBO Movie Presentation opens from Kill 2 Birds, including Minecraft, Superman, Supergirl, Wuthering Heights and Backrooms. Different worlds. Same HBO ritual. Each one rebuilt from the inside out to belong to the film it introduces.
‍
For Mortal Kombat II, that meant taking the familiar opener and putting it through hell: hit, cracked, frozen and scorched until HBO and Mortal Kombat lock together in one brutal little sequence.
‍
And there’s more coming.
